Palm Desert small business can start applying for repayable loans on Wednesday
Starting Wednesday, small businesses in Palm Desert will be able to apply for an interest-free loan through the Unite Palm Desert Economic Relief package.
The city announced the first phase of the loan program that will provide $ 1 million in municipal funds to support restaurants, retail, service industries and small businesses. In total, the program is expected to provide up to $ 3 million in public support to the community.
Small businesses in the city will be able to benefit from forgivable loans of up to $ 25,000. This applies to companies with no more than 25 employees.
Applications will be accepted until June 3, 2020.

Unite Palm Springs is a campaign launched to support Palm Desert residents and their businesses during the coronavirus pandemic. The campaign includes a variety of economic stimulus initiatives and includes several community and regional partners, including: FIND Food Bank; the Palm Desert Region Chamber of Commerce; El Paseo Parking and Business Improvement District; Joslyn Center; Living Desert Zoo and Botanical Gardens; McCallum Theater; Palm Desert High School; and Desert Willow Golf Resort.
